The superconducting CX-150 is a high
homogeneity short bore magnet
manufactured by GE utilizing K4 advanced
cryo-cooling technology.The design characteristics include
short inner bore length, and a higher
effective inner diameter. The magnet bore
opens out on both ends to a flared opening
which enhances patient comfort.

The magnet is designed to provide an open
and friendly experience for patients without
compromising the clinical performance
required for high SNR comprehensive
imaging. This magnet also provides the
highest homogeneity for spectroscopy. By
maintaining field uniformity throughout the
entire imaging volume, a Signa 1.5T superconducting
magnet delivers consistent
results, from routine studies to the most
demanding applications such as off isocenter
FOV Fat Saturation imaging and
high-resolution 3D spectroscopy.

Radio Frequency Subsystem:
The Digital RF subsystem provides
excellent RF power and uniformity for all
image acquisitions. The Quadrature RF
body coil is integrated with the gradient coil
in the Integrated Body Module for excellent
imaging performance. The Signa LX
System provides a single Digital RF
amplifier subsystem for high quality
imaging with conventional surface coils.

The Signa LX with HiSpeed or EchoSpeed
gradient performance option provides
Phased Array Digital RF architecture as
standard imaging capabilities. The Signa
LX System provides a Quadrature Transmit
and Receive Head Coil for neuro
applications. All other surface coils are
options for Signa LX Systems and may be
configured to meet your specific
applications requirements.

Patient Comfort Module:
Dual-flared patient bore
2 way in-bore intercom system
In-bore FiberTrack lighting system
Interface for music system
In-bore patient ventilation system
Eases patient anxiety resulting in
reduced exam time.
During head exams, patients can see
outside the magnet bore thanks to the
look-out mirror
Feet-first positioning facilitates run-off
studies and set-up of claustrophobic
patients
